Founder Blog: Back from a founder’s retreat and I’m currently shooting balls of energy from my hands

20+ women founders and visionaries from all over the country (including me!) just spent 2.5 days on a weekend mountain retreat dancing in the snow, meditating, moving, breathing, crying, hugging, and connecting. 

We met ourselves on a deeper, more compassionate level, and allowed ourselves to be fully seen as our truest selves. The bravery in the room was profound. 

It was a pretty special / scary / vulnerable / incredible for me to be the one being seen (especially since I’m always doing the seeing and question asking in our Kind & Funny Soul Search).

It wasn’t until I was making some art after the retreat that it occurred to me, that this is me upleveling:

• Putting myself in the room  = me upleveling.

• Spending intentional time with brilliant women I can learn from = me upleveling.

• Slowing down to connect with myself and my abundant creative spirit in nature = me upleveling.

• Embracing my humanity, my power, and being brave enough to be vulnerable and share the dreams I’m following = me upleveling.

Upleveling is no joke. 

It takes deep devotion to show up for yourself/your business/your dreams every single day and to believe in your vision and your ability. It takes courage to learn about yourself, and it takes an enormous amount of self-compassion to grow and evolve. 

Also, upleveling takes support. 

We need people to see us. It’s a part of the process! We need people to shine their bright light on us sometimes so we can see ourselves through a different perspective. So we can deepen our vision and get clear on what it takes to actualize it.
